[AudioWorker] WebSocket error: unable to get local issuer certificate

Problem

When starting a meeting using the Bliro Desktop App, you see the following error:

[AudioWorker] onerror: WebSocket error occurred: Error: unable to get local issuer certificate

This prevents the app from from starting a meeting once the Start Meeting button was clicked.

Root Cause

This error is most commonly caused by SSL interception within your organization's network. Some corporate firewalls or proxy servers intercept encrypted (HTTPS) connections to inspect traffic. This breaks the certificate chain required for secure communication with Bliroโ€™s servers.

Solution

In most cases, the IT department can resolve the problem by allowlisting specific Bliro domains domains at both the firewall and SSL interception levels. This ensures the app can establish a secure connection without being blocked.

๐Ÿ‘‰ Please forward the following information to your IT department:

Allowlisting requirements for IT

1. Firewall allowlist

Allow outbound traffic to the following domains:

2. SSL interception bypass

If your organization uses SSL interception (e.g. via proxy or security appliances), please bypass interception for the same domains:
