There can be issues with the audio recording, if Zoom is forwarding the incoming audio directly to your speaker, rather then using System Audio. In this case, make sure under Select a Speaker, Same as System is selected as shown in the image below.

You can open the Microphone and Speaker settings by clicking on the little arrow at the top right of the Mute Microphone button. This is usually a one time setting.
