Bliro and GDPR (EU)

Bliro developed a unique, privacy-preserving data processing and transcription technology which allows Bliro users to transcribe and summarise meetings without collecting the active consent of other meeting participants. Using Bliro, all processing of personal data can be based the legal basis of the legitimate interest of Bliro's users (Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f GDPR). If in doubt, discuss using Bliro with your data protection officer.

More details via Bliro's Security Portal or via [email protected].

GDPR - Best Practices

Basing the usage of Bliro on the legal basis of legitimate interests removes the need for collecting active consent from other meeting participants. Though, it does not remove the obligation to inform other meeting participants about the processing of their personal data. Thus, users are obliged to inform other meeting participants about the transcription and summarisation activities taking place.

Luckily, informing other participants can be done much less invasive than collecting consent. Bliro users could, for instance, add a short disclaimer to the meeting invite and/or their email signature where one states that Bliro is being used for writing automatic meeting notes. Further, one can include more details regarding processing activities in the privacy policy.

In the following, we provide some example email disclaimers that inform meeting participants about the usage of Bliro.
