Bliro transcribes both your microphone and your system audio automatically. System Audio Transcription is turned on by default, and we recommend keeping it turned on for all your meetings.

With this approach, there’s no need to match your audio setup to the system configuration. On macOS, the process is fully guided by the operating system - both microphone and system audio settings are automatically linked and ready to use. On Windows, users retain the flexibility to select and adjust their preferred microphone as needed.

Live Transcription
As soon as you start speaking, you can follow the live transcription and see which words and sentences Bliro is transcribing. This allows you to continuously check during every meeting that everything is working properly.
InCall Settings
When you start a call, you’ll see visual feedback displayed through the Headphones icon.The green visualization inside of the microphone shows the audio amplitude levels in real time.
How It Works
Start a call: Once the call begins, the InCall screen will automatically display the audio level indicators.
Monitor audio levels: During the call, you can observe the intensity of the sound being transmitted. The amplitude reflects both your microphone input and, if enabled, the system audio being shared.
This helps you ensure your audio is being properly captured and transmitted throughout the call.
Additionally once the in call audio settings are expanded, the user will find a more comprehensive overview of the audio input and a call to action to be able to change the audio settings.
On MacOS, clicking on Sound Settings will redirect the user to the System Preferences to adjust any needed audio setup.
On Windows, the audio settings are inline, which allows the user to change their desired microphone input.
You encounter errors regarding your audio or your transcript is incomplete?
Here is what to check:
Click on the Bliro Logo in your menu bar. The desktop app will then open.
Now go to the settings and navigate to audio. The system audio transcription should be turned on.
Try again and see if it works!
We recommend always keeping System Audio Transcription turned on in the Bliro desktop app, no matter how your meeting takes place:
Online meetings (e.g. Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Google Meet)
Phone conversations through your computer
In-person meetings
Hybrid meetings
Keeping System Audio Transcription turned on has no negative impact on performance or transcription quality, including in in-person meetings. You don't need to wear headphones to use it. If System Audio Transcription is turned off, Bliro only transcribes your microphone. In online meetings, this means what other participants say through your speakers or headphones may be missing from your transcription.
In-Call Notifications for Technical Issues
Bliro notifies you in real time when technical issues arise that could affect your transcription quality. You'll be alerted if your microphone is silent or if network instability is causing transcription failures. This way you can step in and fix the issue before the call ends.
